We have recently developed a series of designs for sandwich buns based on a specific concept: “Soft and non-rigid pizza dough, formed and baked through a production process as edible pot, open only in one (upper) side with internal dough surfaces also toasted. The wall thickness can be varied from 4,00mm to 6,00mm. The shape and the size of the hollow have been designed in order to meet the different filling standards of a doner kebab, gyros, pulled burger, burger sandwich or any other kind of grilled/toasted sandwich.
The sandwich buns are pre-baked. This means that, before filling and serving, there is a need for toasting the buns, for 1 to 2 minutes, on grill, toaster etc. This procedure warms the bun, and also makes the outsides crispy while the inside stays soft, fluffy and warm.
We are usually register the designs of the developed products with EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) and we are looking to establish partnerships with bakery manufacturers, food distributors, fast food chains, food consultants etc., in order to promote design license and know-how transfer agreements worldwide. We advise manufacturers how to develop & produce items according to their needs (recipe, size, shape, etc.). We also help them in marketing these products.
A registered design protects the shape and the appearance of a product. It gives the owner the exclusive right to the design of that product and it can be used to deter others from copying it, or stop them from continuing to do so, without consent. It offers an affordable and realistic means of obtaining protection against copying.
A registered design lasts for an initial period of five years. A renewal fee is then payable every five years up to maximum of 25 years in total.
